Holiday apartment Sonnmatt - arrive and feel good

Ideally located close to the village center and yet quiet. Close to the train stations or the ski bus. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Zermatt is car-free. The easiest way to get here is by train. If you come by car, you can park your car at the Matterhorn terminal in Täsch and travel on from there in comfort by shuttle train.

An electric cab will take you and your luggage to the front door

The apartment is located on the 2nd floor south-west.

The kitchen is separate and well equipped with every comfort. Refrigerator, dishwasher, capsule coffee machine, possibility for filter coffee, kettle, tea pot, egg stove, toaster, oven, induction stove, dishes, glasses and cutlery for every menu.

There is a racelet stove and fondue dishes for a typical Swiss evening at home or on the cozy terrace with garden and Matterhorn views.

The cozy vacation apartment is equipped with everything you need. Comfortable new box-spring beds (2024), bed linen, comforters and pillows, towels and kitchen towels are provided and do not need to be brought separately. A flat screen TV, sofa, wardrobe and a dining table with space for 4 people. My favorite is enjoying breakfast in the morning with a view of the Matterhorn and planning the day or winding down in the evening.

The bathroom has a bathtub/shower, WC, hairdryer, mirror cabinet, washbasin and laundry basket.

Activities

With more than 360 kilometres of slopes, Zermatt is one of the most popular ski resorts in Switzerland.
Due to its high altitude, the ski resort is snow-covered and it is possible to ski on the glacier all year round. Perfect for snow lovers.

Wandern-Zermatt.jpg

There are many sporting opportunities for active people:

Hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, ski touring, mountaineering, climbing, paragliding...

For connoisseurs, there are beautiful excursion destinations that can be easily reached by train in the direction of Gornergrat, Schwarzsee, Rothorn or the Klein Matterhorn. There are also countless restaurants that cater to culinary desires.

Romantics will also get their money's worth, as there are quiet spots and romantic sunrises and sunsets away from the usual excursion destinations.

Summer

Enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are numerous hiking and walking routes that allow you to enjoy nature to the full. If you prefer to go a little faster, we recommend hiring a bike, scooter or go-kart.

Winter

There are countless ways to enjoy the snow in Zermatt . One of them is to enjoy the slopes, either skiing or snowboarding. There are also several beautiful routes for sledging and winter hiking, where you can breathe in the fresh winter air and enjoy the beautiful views.

Extreme

If you are looking for an adrenaline rush, you might be interested in the following activities. Gorge or ice climbing. In addition, you can also challenge yourself by signing up for a mountaineering tour, visit the ice caves or book a paragliding flight.

Matterhorn Museum

If the weather is not on the sunny side, I recommend a visit to the Matterhorn Museum.

The history of the first ascent of the Matterhorn and other peaks as well as the life of the people in this mountain region before tourism arrived. Mountaineering 150 years ago and today - an enormous change.

The rescue missions of AIR ZERMATT and ultra-modern equipment versus simple hobnailed boots and skirts for the ladies, who were not deterred from climbing their beloved mountains.
